On Saturday, November 14th, in Kansas City, MO. The Deep Thinkers had themselves a party. For the release of their CD, Make It Quake, they took it back home for an earth shaking night of beats in the heart of Westport’s music scene. At the Riot Room, Hip Hop Chief Rocker Busy Bee, DJ Ice, Deep Thinkers, Miles Bonny & Reggie B, and Emcee Reach held it down for a full crowd of music lovers and fans alike. 

The night was filled with surprises. The first fifty guests to arrive received a cop of the new Deep Thinkers Make It Quake CD compliments of Wilshire District and VTech.  The place was packed with familiar faces from the KC Hip Hop music scene, all out for a good time. And special guests Miles Bonny, Reggie B, and MC Reach came out to rock the stage. Chief Rocker Busy Bee brought with him, all the way from NYC, the classic “wild style” party style causing a frenzy on the dance floor with bboys and girls breaking it down. 

When it came to the headliners of the evening, Deep Thinkers stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park as they ripped through their new album with enthusiasm and delivered to a crowd an energetic performance. They even raffled off a new VTech IS9181 WiFi Internet radio midway through their set and got back into the groove after awarding a couple lucky fans with their prizes. Safe to say, the boys from Kansas City did not disappoint

Deep Thinkers are MC The Brother of Moses and producer Leonard Dstroy. Their 4th full-length album Make It Quake promises to bring the KC duo to the forefront of progressive Hip-Hop. MC Brother of Moses breaks through on this album, with a stellar performance on tracks “99 Bottles” and “Mid-West Flambay.” Beat-maker Leonard Dstroy shines on Make It Quake, proving that he is quickly becoming one of the most talented and respected producers in the game.  Production ranges from the scratch-heavy banger “Knock Knock” to the laid-back and jazzy “Beyond the Surface.”

Deep Thinkers

 A Kansas City based progressive hip-hop duo critically acclaimed for socially conscious lyrics and cutting edge production. The group is composed of rapper/MC Brother of Moses and producer/DJ/percussionist Leonard Dstroy.

Friends since childhood, in 1997 the duo formed their first project, Seven-Fold Symphony. Aside from Lenny D (DJ) and Bro Mo (MC), the group included other MC’s as well as a live band. Despite success, the group eventually disbanded. Lenny D and Bro Mo continued their musical output by forming the hip-hop duo Deep Thinkers in 2002 and releasing albums Outlook (2003), Necks Move (2005) and Reprogram (2007) to much critical praise for both production and lyrical content.

In November 2009, the Deep Thinkers will release their 4th full-length album “Make it Quake.” Released by DJ Ice and prolific West-Coast label  Wilshire District, the 15-track LP will cause tremors in the hip-hop industry. With “Make it Quake,” Bro Mo’s skilled rhymes and Lenny D’s producing and beat making bring the KC duo to the forefront of progressive Hip-Hop.
