This Friday, August 6, we’re excited to invite you to a LIVE re-edit of the Timeless performance series by J.Rocc of the World Famous Beat Junkies. With Timeless, J.Rocc brings his renowned skills as a turntablist to the stage, showing the audience a feature of live video editing. This live VJ set has only been performed in Los Angeles once at the Timeless premier located at Downtown Independent and sold out completely. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch one of hip-hop’s greatest DJs spinning a set of timeless music.

Dublab will also be screening the best videos from their Vision Version film project, while the Dublab Soundsystem DJs play their always-eclectic mix of music in between performances.

Hit+Run Crew will be there printing original one-of-a-kind t-shirts LIVE! First 100 shirts are FREE!

Films, music, food trucks, and best DJ’s in Los Angeles all come together in the JACCC Plaza as families, friends and downtown L.A. neighbors join in on the festivities under the Little Tokyo sky.

A Look At Timeless At SXSW 2010

If you were there, you were lucky. The world premiere of Timeless hit SXSW after a ten year Mochilla absence with the help of VTech, and made its mark on the indie heavy music scene. With a special musical performance by J.Rocc, Q&A with B+, Eric Coleman, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and a rocking after party with Chicken George and more, Timeless proved itself once again as a show/event you did not want to miss. For those who unfortunately missed out, here’s a photo look back at what was a very magical night. But don’t worry, there’s always the DVD box set coming soon to ease your pain.

TIMELESS is Heading to SXSW!

Finally, we’re back!!

VTech and Mochilla are proud to present the premiere of TIMELESS at this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas.

On March 20th, 2010 from 3pm-6pm, TIMELESS will premiere at SXSW at the George Washington Museum and Cultural Center. If you missed the series, this is the next best thing. With special features and a look behind the scenes, the Timeless Premiere will be one for the books.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (arranger/composer for Suite For Ma Dukes), B+, Quantic, Coleman and DJ Nuts.

The Beat Junkies Celebrate Dilla at Nightlife Tonight.

If you’re in LA and have no plans this evening, make your way out to Echo Park to the EchoPlex and celebrate the life and music of James “J Dilla” Yancey. Tonight is not only the fourth anniversary of his passing, but also Act 2 of Songs in the Key of “D.”

J.Rocc, Rhettmatic, Mr. Choc and more will be hosting this event, remembering their good friend. Good music, positive energy and special appearances by Slum Village as well as other special guests will provide you with an evening to remember.

Dilla, we miss you , we love you, and we’ll be there tonight showing you just how much. So, let’s all go down to Nightlife and Turn It UP for Dilla.

Spend an Evening (in spirit) with DILLA at Nightlife

This Friday, February 12th, 2010, VTech and Beat Junkie Sound presents NIGHTLIFE: “Songs in the Key of D – Act 2.” Resident DJs, the Beat Junkies: J.Rocc, Rhettmatic, Mr. Choc, and Curse, remember the passing of their dear friend and colleague James “J.Dilla” Yancey, alongside very special guests, Slum Village and more.

Be there as fans, friends, and more come to celebrate the life that was J.Dilla’s. The music, the memories, the joy and laughter will be present. Let’s commemorate the anniversary of his passing with positive energy, dancing and good times. Thank you J. Dilla.
