This week, VTech is heading to New Orleans for a weekend of food, friends, music, and good old fashion fun. Its the Voodoo Music Experience and there won’t be a better place to be this weekend…

VTech joins forces with Filter Magazine in bringing you the Voodoo Experience Kick-Off Party. With music provided by the likes of DJ Biz Markie, The Knux, Jay Electronica, and DJ Soul Sister, this promises to be a great event.

All the way from Portland, Oregon, HOCKEY took the stage at the latest edition of SPINhouse Live series on Thursday night, presented by VTech and rocked the crowd with their music and charm. This dance-rock band entertained an intimate crowd of 200 on the rooftop of SPIN’s downtown Manhattan office as part of last week’s CMJ Music Festival. 

With a setlist with songs like “Work,” “3am Spanish,” “Learn to Lose,” “Song Away,” “Too Fake,” and “Put the Game Down,” Hockey’s set was as tight as their pants. Their six-song show pulled from the group’s recently released debut, Mind Chaos, combined retro dance-punk with synth-heavy New Wave. A mix of genres leading to a most contagious hodge-podge of song. 

At this year’s 11th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival, Buyepongo took part of the dublab’s “Future Roots”stage, curated by DUBLAB as part of their VTech sponsored week-long 10th Anniversary Celebration series around the city of Los Angeles. 

The young and energetic cumbia band Buyepongo was a stand out during this free, community street festival. These cats had the block bumping with their vibrant sounds steeped in the tradition of sweat and rhythm but flying into the future through the ears and bodies that bounced in the moment.  Peep this exclusive video and become a fan yourself. The Sounds of VTech / Buyepongo at Eagle Rock Music Festival

What a great night for music. Last week we had Hockey, Bilal, Blu, Exile, Spinna, and more. And to finish it off, a NYC version of LA’s own Nightlife. Mr. Choc, Babu, J.Rocc, and Shortkut were on the decks bringing you there funky beats all night long.
