Timeless somehow doesn’t need to be remixed. However, we always intended it to be an inclusive multi-generational project, and commissioning remixes of Timeless allowed us to explore new options for these amazing performances. This first of three exclusive remixes is by a group of young musicians from Los Angeles called Te’Amir, named after the group’s leader. Te’Amir, an Angeleno in his early twenties, is of Ethiopian and Irish extraction. He has worked with artists as varied as Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne, SA-RA, Mia Doi Todd and A Race of Angels. This remix brings together Te’Amir’s diverse influences, from the swing of Mulatu’s Addis to the ginga of Bahia with beautiful vocal by William Warren. Download, enjoy, share, and soak in Timeless in a new way.
